Cat C licence training

What does the licence enable you to do?

With a Cat C license, you gain the credentials to operate any vehicle over 3.5t, as long as it doesn't exceed 32t. Typically, this includes standard (rigid) lorries featuring a combination of a cab and box body or flat bed. Considered the fundamental lorry license, it often serves as the initial stepping stone toward more advanced HGV qualifications, such as the C+E license.

We offer a 20 Hour Category C course spread over 4 days with the driving test included in the last session. This costs £1,675 including VAT and DVSA test fees.

If you wish to add CPC Module 4 to your course this is an extra £295.00.

- Application Pack- This includes your D2 Application Form, D4 Medical Form and a detailed Client Information Form on the process to help you start your journey with us.

- Medical - Arranged for you at one of 4 locations- Portsmouth, Brighton, Horsham and Gatwick.

- Assistance with Theory Test Study - We send you the details of the best Training Material to purchase so you don't need to hunt around for the best study guides.

- Theory and Hazard perception tests.

- CPC Module 2 - This is a computer test which takes place at your local test center.

- CPC Module 4 - A Practical Demonstration test which Castle LGV Training will not only train you in, but you then also take your test with us onsite at our Bognor Regis site.

Gold+ Package includes:

- Everything in the Gold Package

- Pass Protection - 1 additional chance at all theory tests, 3A reversing and 3B on road test. This needs to be booked prior your course starting and will save you £250.00.

Driving the lorry is only part of the equation. There's also getting to grips with a very different gearbox, not to mention grappling with a new set of rules and regulations when it comes to the road. But with our team behind you, you're off to a great start. We have over 40 years of experience training lorry drivers and our team are fully trained instructors. You might well be a fast learner but even if you need that extra bit of time to get familiar with the vehicle, we can accommodate that. You'll get a full breakdown of all the techniques, whether it's anything from parking to reversing, and full demonstrations are always provided as well. We want you to be a safe and skilled lorry driver and we put out all the stops to make that happen. And at the end, there's the opportunity of attaining a new qualification that will help you gain a foothold in a very lucrative career. Note that the vehicles we use are automatic but you still gain a full manual licence.
